I’ve put the Daredevil Framing Blade in a lot of people’s hands, and I’ve heard a lot of great things about it from them. One of the best parts about my job is when I get to put awesome, brand new products in peoples hands. Daredevil saw blades is one of those products.
During some of the field testing that we did before launching that blade, I heard lots of things like:
“This is the best blade I have ever used; I use a lot of blades in my profession. After a day of cutting treated 2 x 6s, the blade is still very sharp.” – Bruce Rutledge
It’s great to hear agreement from Handy Magazine, and the Handyman Club of America. I’d like to hear a little more agreement from the readers here, so the first 25 readers who make a comment about what you expect out of a saw blade will get a free Daredevil saw blade. I’ll contact the winners next week to get your shipping info.

A good blade is one that stays sharp and true through lots of use. It’s no good if the blade dulls just after a few cuts. Also if the blade warps or bends due to heat and friction, your going to get a poor cut also.

This is a great blade to use when doing many things around the house. My husband uses it to cut tongue and groove for the inside of our house.

i expect this saw blade to stay sharp after a few uses. I also expect it not to get dull. A good saw blade will also cut different thicknesses of wood.

I’d like to try this. Nothing worse than being in the middle of a project and your blade dulling out. Seems like I never get the life manufacturers promise.

My husband would love to try this! He goes through cheaper blades because they dull and cause poor cuts.

Sounds like that’s one heck of a saw blade. Id love to try it oit

I have not tried this blade as of yet. If it is anything like other Bosch blades, I’m sure it will work great. I have used the Bosch OIS™ Adapter with my muilti-master and the Bosch blades work as well as if not better than any other and at a better price point.
BTW, all blades will get dull, just use them for their intended purpose.
You are better off with a good blade on a cheap saw than a cheap blade on a good saw.

A good blade has a thin kerf, stays sharp, and can handle a little demo. Can’t wait to try one out!

I expect my saw blades to stay sharp and true. Nothing else matters. If it can’t rip a sheet of 5/8ths plywood or a 2x without warping because of heat, it’s useless. Only time cheap blades make sense is if your time and the quality of your work don’t matter, which should be never.

I expect a good blade to make easy cuts for what it is intended for, stay sharp, not throw chips excessively, cut through knots without warping, run fairly quiet and not cost a fortune.

When I go to buy a blade, I expect it to perform the way the company says it will.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:44 pm
I expect a blade that starts sharp and stays sharp. It doesn’t need to cut through nails and inappropriate junk, but one that lasts is crucial.

A good blade will always cut stright

A really good blade must:
Cut smoothly and quickly. Make a clean edged cut and not produce any edge tear-off. Teeth should be angled so as to reduce/remove any kick-back. Be able to work through a variety of materials.
That’s a good blade!

A good blade will stay sharp through a variety of wood, and be useful for cross cuts, as well as ripping down an 2×6, or 3/4″ plywood; and of course, for the right price.

I always read up on tools before I buy them, and it never fails that saw blades are one of the most common things that don’t live up to the hype. I would be a customer for life if this blade stays sharp and cuts straight the way you all say it does.
April 28th, 2012 at 1:21 am
I would hope this blade would last through more than one treated 2×6, unlike the cheap ones I picked up the other day

I can’t afford much but when I buy anything I buy the best. It always saves money in the long run and it shows the pride I have in my work. If there is anything I hate worse than a splintered cut it’s a blade that doesn’t last. I continue to search for the best blades I can buy and then I take care of them.

A good blade will spin up true, without wobble. It will be resistant to bending if the feed isn’t totally straight.

I am getting ready to put an addition on the side of my barn for a motor home, and I am looking for a saw blade that will cut well and last until finished and beyond. I have been through a lot of blades in the last 30 years and most of them do not hold up through a project. If this blade makes it you will have another loyal customer.

A good blade cust smooth and straigth. It Does not warp easily and does not throw chips all over.

I want to test this blade on Hardie Panels & Trim on a simple house exterior remodel from T111 8″ O.C. wood panels and cedar trim. If it can survive without creating a dust storm, then I am sold!

I need blades that stay sharp for a long time, do not warp or lose teeth. I work in a variety of woods and the less I have to change blades the bettor.
May 3rd, 2012 at 1:55 pm
I have used many different blades over the years and like so many say it is hard to find a good one. I read the comments in Handyman Club of America and was impressed then by the sound of the blade. To me a good blade should cut straight, have little resistance or kickback, priced right and stay sharp for an appropriate length of time.

I expect to be able to use a blade at anytime especially after cutting pressure treated lumber all day. I like to try different tools to find the perfect blade for the right job.

A great blade!
May 5th, 2012 at 7:36 pm
This is the kind of blade that would produce a perfectly clean cut – even if it’s done by a woman!
May 5th, 2012 at 9:16 pm
A good blade needs to be as sharp as I am, work as hard as I do, and be as good a value as I am to my clients.

I would love to try out a Bosch blade – I’ve never used one before. Thank you for the opportunity!

Tired of wasting money on blades at local stores that are not able to make a full week/ or day (for that matter), without needing to be sharpened or tossed!
