Make single, measurable changes to your website instead of massive wholesale modifications that you won’t be able to track. That way, as your traffic increases, you can attribute it to the previous change/changes.

Lately I’ve had a lot of people reach out to me for marketing advice.

While I’m no stranger to cameras, blogs and building stuff, I can use all the help that I can get.  Darren Slaughter has been on the web doing this stuff for quite awhile, and offers some great services for contracting companies and builders for marketing on his site.

He also has a great blog that offers a lot of good ideas for building your companies brand, site, and some things to think about when your advertising.  I also like how he’s doing a lot of it as youtube videos.
