One of the most important things for me on the job site is deciding what to use to tackle the job. I have more than my fair share of Hammers. While I don’t have anything near the number that this guy has, I have more than a couple.
Why? Well, first things first, while I do collect old tools, I don’t believe in an old hammer that isn’t for use. That said, you can’t take an Vaughan 999 20oz framing hammer with a milled face (one of my favorites) and hit a piece of trim with it, or it’s going to look like crap. Oh, and I couldn’t have popped my ball joints loose without anything much less than the 3 pounder I was using last weekend. The old saying still holds true, you got to have the right tools for the job.
